A smol mad scientist based in Austin, Texas, Pearl Grey is known for fusing their love of invention and hacking with musical performance. With a lifelong passion for bleeding-edge tech, Pearl Grey is transcending the boundaries that define reality with their work on virtual concert platform 'WaveXR'. Pearl Grey has also designed custom electronic instruments, including a robot capable of scratching on a turntable. Pearl Grey's sound is influenced by the high energy of japanese rhythm games, the sugary sweetness of kawaii culture, and the rumbling bass of heavy machinery, manifested as house, hardcore, drum & bass, and trap beats.
In 2018, Pearl Grey and frequent collaborator K!LL SCREEN formed 'DROP TEAM EPIC', flashing their unabashed love for anime and video game music backed by heavyweight basslines. The two perform back-to-back as both the DJs and the VJs, generating explosive visuals from their app called 'DROP TV EPIC', and have made appearances across the United States and online. In 2020, Pearl Grey once again shattered reality as a Virtual Streamer, performing in several online events with a motion captured avatar in a surreal cyberpunk world. Pearl Grey has released music under Kawaii Bass and TinyWaves, and plans to debut their first EP in late 2020.
